Part-Time Treatment Room Nurse (20 hours/week)
Due to upcoming retirement and maternity leave, we are seeking a compassionate, motivated, and experienced Treatment Room Nurse to join our friendly and supportive team. St James Medical Centre and Orchard Medical Centre are busy and progressive GP practices in the Centre of Taunton with a branch site in Norton Fitzwarren.

This is a permanent contracted part-time role working 20 hours per week across Wednesday, Thursday, and Fridays, providing high-quality, evidence-based nursing care within our well-equipped treatment rooms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Wound care and dressings
• Immunisations (including flu, shingles, travel, and childhood vaccines)
• Venepuncture
• ECGs and blood pressure monitoring
• Removal of sutures and clips
• Health promotion and screening
• Ear irrigation
• Support for chronic disease management (as appropriate)

What We’re Looking For:

• Registered Nurse (NMC PIN required)

• Experience in a treatment room or primary care setting

• Competent in core treatment room skills

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Able to work independently and manage time effectively

• Commitment to patient-centred care and safeguarding

Desirable but not essential:
• Cervical cytology trained

• Experience with EMIS or similar clinical system

• Knowledge of QOF and NHS primary care standards
