Please find below updated contract of employment and staff handbook drafted specifically for Medical Practices. These can be used for all employees other than salaried GPs within a GMS PMS Practice.
As before, both the contract of employment and staff handbook contain clauses with square brackets. This denotes clauses which may be removed specific to your Practice’s circumstances. There may also be further aspects which you would like included in the contract or staff handbook. The benefit of having a contract with a staff handbook however is that it allows you to amend the content of the staff handbook without having to routinely issue fresh contracts.
As with all contracts of employment and staff handbooks they will need to be amended over time. You are therefore advised to keep these documents under review so to ensure that they are current. Indeed, it is hoped that this service will continue to be provided by us on an annual basis.
Should you wish to make any changes to the contract of employment or staff handbook beyond those provided within the template, then you are strongly advised to seek legal advice on the changes you to seek to make.
